AIAG VDA FMEA Course: Failure Mode And Effects Analysis
The course presents FMEA: a risk assessment system that derives from mechanical reliability studies and has been widely used, in industry and elsewhere, to assess the reliability of products and processes.
Course objectives
The course provides the necessary knowledge for the development of the FMEA technique, based on the guidance in the AIAG-VDA FMEA Handbook in the latest edition released in June 2019.
At the end of the course, participants will have addressed:
- The methodology for implementing Project and Process FMEAs
- How to calculate evaluation criteria (severity, probability, detectability)
- How to Classify Special Characteristics
- Define risk reduction strategy
